Superstorm Sandy Reviews

After Superstorm Sandy ripped through New Jersey, many of our neighbors, family and friends suffered severe damage to their homes andvehicles. In the days that followed, here at Route 23 Honda, we opened our doors to those affected and in turn served as a collection hub. Now that many are heading back to normalcy, we will continue to offer our support and services to those in need.

While many dealerships had suffered great losses to their inventory, here at Route 23 Honda we were lucky to suffer only slight damage and loss. A majority of our new inventory is kept in our garage deck behind the dealership, which can house up to 300 new vehicles. With no damage to these vehicles, we were able to get many of those who had lost their cars back on the roads sooner.

We want to thank our customers who have turned to us in these hard times. Many of our recent customers took to our DealerRater site to give us rave reviews following Superstorm Sandy. 

We lost our 2010 Honda CRV to Sandy and knew we wanted to stay with Honda. Route 23 Honda came recommended to us by a family member who has purchased more than two cars from Route 23. Tires Do More Than Just Go Round and Round

Did you know that the tires you can purchase at BJ’s, Costco and other retail facilities are not going to provide the same quality handling and ride as the original tires that you had purchased with your vehicle?  Honda vehicles are subjected to many rigorous tests prior to being released for purchase. One of the many tests is used to determine which tire matches the vehicle’s needs.  Honda looks at:

·       Safety

·       Riding

·       Handling

·       Noise

·       Effects on fuel economy

 

Even though you can purchase Dunlop, Bridgestone or Michelin tires, be aware that they are not the same quality as the tires that are purchased through Route 23 Honda.  The handling characteristics are not the same; they can be noisier and cause your fuel mileage to drop.

 

One of the advantages of purchasing or servicing your vehicle at Route 23 Honda is that we offer Nitrogen Fill for your tires.  Nitrogen is denser than air and this density will prevent the loss of tire pressure (due to drastic temperature change), improve fuel economy and also help to extend the life of your tires.  Nitrogen fill also comes with a 1-year roadside warranty. Why chance your vehicle safety by purchasing or servicing your car anywhere else?

 

Tips on how you can expand the life of your tires:

·       Check the tire pressure when the tires are cold (or have not been driven recently)

·       Rotate your tires

·       Have an alignment every year or every 15,000 miles

·       Try to avoid potholes in the road (I know that we are in NJ)

·       Avoid Erratic driving habits
