Tips to Keep You Moving This Spring!

Luckily for us, we have had a pretty mild winter in our area with warmer than usual weather and very little snow. Although this has been nice, you should still be aware of how your car is running to be prepared for the spring. Follow some of these suggestions and get your car checked out at our service center to make sure your car is in tip top shape for those spring and summer road trips!

First and foremost, you should make sure your battery is working. Winter can be tough on your car, causing your battery to work harder and drain more. Make sure you take note of signs such as slower power windows, dimmer lights, etc.

If your breaks are squeaking, you need to do something about it. Winter weather and salts on the road could potentially deteriorate brake parts. Make sure your breaks are in good shape to optimize your safety.

To even further elaborate on the damage road salts can do, you must also make sure to clean the undercarriage of your car. All the winter debris of the road will get picked up and can corrode the metal parts.

Another part of your car that gets beat by winter conditions are your windshield wipers. The conditions can dry them out, making them ineffective against the higher percentage of rainfall we get during the warmer months. Make sure to replace them if needed!

Last but not least is tire care. Changes in temperature can affect the pressure in your tires. Make sure to keep them inflated to the proper level that is stated in your owner's manual or on the inside of your driver's door. You should also be aware of your tire treads to know if you have a safe amount of grip on the road. You can test this by placing a quarter in one of the grooves. If the head of Washington is covered by the tread, your tires should be at an appropriate level. If you use a penny and Lincoln's head is visible, it's time to think about replacing your tires.

Making Your Sundays Easier!

In this day and age, unless you are living in a city with an abundance of, but not always reliable, public transportation, you need a car. Honda is at the top of the industry in reliability for a reason. It's our job to keep your car in tip top shape, providing all your maintenance needs. Since we need our cars everyday, the real question is, why isn't service available everyday? Sunday seems to be the universal off day for car service, but at Route 23 Honda, we don't follow the norm.

Since we are so appreciative of our ever growing family and want to make each and everyone one of your lives easier, Route 23 Honda offers car service on Sundays. We are open from 9am to 1pm, providing all services, and just so we don't leave anyone out, we also perform fixes on all makes and models.

Not only do you get service, but we also provide a shuttle to and from the Willowbrook mall between 10:30am and 12:30pm so you can get any errands done or satisfy that retail therapy itch while you wait. However, if you don't mind waiting around Route 23 Honda, we have hot coffee, fresh deli items, and not to mention, a friendly environment to enjoy.

And just when you thought it couldn't get anymore convenient, it does! To book an appointment, all you have to do is visit our service web page, http://www.route23hondaservice.com, it's fast and simple. Just click it, pick it, and we'll fix it! Though, letting us know in advanced is only necessary if the car is not a Honda, so we can make sure the parts you need are in stock.

Next time your car is giving you problems, don't fret! Route 23 Honda is here to keep you rolling, ANY day of the week.
